She is a social psychologist, who obtained her licentiate at the University of Costa Rica. She has worked as consultant at the Regional Office for Mesoamérica of the World Union for the Conservation of Nature (UICN), in projects of RUTA/FIDA, ACDI, International OEF, Forest Project IDA/FAO, Organization of Tropical Studies - Environmental dialogue in Communities; in the Agreement EARTH-MAG-BID-PROGASA. She has been part of a consulting team of the Inter-American Institute of Agricultural Cooperation (IICA) and in the project " Genre, Communication and Sustainable Development ", developing workshops at Central America with technical and managing teams that are employed at rural integrated development. The experience and interest is focalized in environmental strategies, sustainable handling of natural resources in the community ambience and the incorporation of socioeconomic aspects in development; as well as the implementation of experiences with a participative approach, the incorporation of the genre approach, handling of conflicts and methodologies for the rural participative development. She has been a teacher at the University of Costa Rica in the courses of Social Community Psychology, group Processes, Qualitative Investigation Skills, among others. She has been a part of diverse publications in the topic of genre and sustainable community handling of natural resources.
